We believe it is vital to understand our own culture and to build bridges through art and stories to combat anti-Asian hate. If we do not understand ourselves, how can we expect others to understand us?
We partner with Chinese Canadian artists to design red pockets, ensuring a variety of stories are shared from one generation to the next. Each artist reflected on their favorite Lunar New Year memories to create a design that offers a modern interpretation, with an explanation in English on the back.
Every Mission: Red Pocket is designed by a Vancouver-based Chinese Canadian artist and printed in Canada. Ten percent of all sales is donated to not-for-profit organizations that share our values in preserving and continuing Chinese Canadian stories. We are proud to donate this round's proceeds to The Chinatown Storytelling Centre in Vancouver, BC
